![]() Think about your connectivity, you wanna connect only to your computer? Or carry it on with you to listen from the phone? There are different DACs for different purposes.Of course, people will keep telling "if you spend more, you'll get better sound". Just a week ago I updated to a 200$ iFi ZEN DAC v2 which left me with a big surprise as I can hear a much better separation of sound instruments and other details. My first DAC was a Fiio K3 for 100$ and I was very happy with the sound update: clearer vocals, tighter bass, and it reads higher frequencies. The price range is very wide, from 100$ to 4000$. So if you want to upgrade your sound quality, definitely get one. I would highly recommend getting a DAC (Digital Audio Converter), all computers come with one but they're basic and cheap. ![]() This is where it starts to get complicated.I got a set of Kanto YU4 (350$) and I'm very happy with them! Audioengine and Edifier are good choices. get external speakers: there are many studio monitors out there (like Yamaha or Fluance but they're so pricey). ![]() I'm always on a budget lol, and I have an iMac. that sucks that you had a bad experience, there are many resources online but you'd have to be careful as there are so much information, and many people recommend very high end 1000$ equipement, which I wouldn't do. I usually don't do playlists, so sorry I can't help you there. Yeah, the UI update is definitely a plus! Perhaps a bit less wide would be better but that's details. I'm just using them from my MacBook pro speakers nothing special I just wish I was able to find proper audio settings to really maximize my audio experience that's the one downside my lack of knowledge and there isn't anybody willing to you know guide anyone who doesn't have the audio equipment or prowess unfortunately that's the impression I've gottenĪpart from that it's a great app so far and it just got updated recently which is good I just wish I could get my audio to sound good or to maximize the experience of the app by being able to have my playback from my MacBook speakers sound good I'm a total noob with that stuff on laptops atleast This one is a solid visual upgrade and that alone caught my investment I'm still trying to figure out how to dock the playlist section to the left side bar unfortunately I don't know if there's a way to permanently do that rather than having to manually move it every time but apart from that I'm digging it This one is pretty decent once you figure things out and I'm sure with a few updates it'll get better. I just hope they don't come out with some newer version in a year and then we have to pay a premium price to get that one lol. This origin version seems to be heading into a decent direction but only time will tell if they will actually support it for the 3 to 5 years they claim. I personally didn't come across many issues using version 3.5. Yeah I was in the same boat I bought my subscription I believe at some point in 2020 and that's tempting as it was I couldn't go and sign on a subscription-based model that was worthless for myself financially speaking I just needed a base player that looked good performed well and functioned. ![]() I know they are a relatively small company but that's no excuse, if they're going to be in the profession of making products for consumers they should be able to follow up with their word and provide refunds for satisfactory products otherwise they shouldn't be making products if they can't handle basic customer service like that. I'm sorry to hear that was your experience. What are everybody else's thoughts on origin? Not enough information is presented and there are large gaps of space on the left and right side of each track which could be used better by adding more information about each track (similar to the viewer in the playlist section) or space out the existing information so there is not too much wasted space on the left and right sides when viewing album tracks. Some tweaks are still needed particularly with the waste of space on the (Horizontal metadata) album view of tracks. Version 3.5 was great and I upgraded from that, it sucked that I had to do that, but the dark mode, functionality, the way things are implemented here is just very good! Studio did hit with quite a bit of backlash but for them to release this version for those who don't want streaming services tied into their home Library this is the perfect solution for me. If this was released before the studio version, I argue that it would have been much more valued and appreciated by the fan base. I am absolutely digging the Audirvana origin release! ![]()

Repeating positive phrases, for example, allows you to be listening to something positive rather than something negative. Calming Activity The sounds themselves may also be calming.Much like the mental distraction of making the mantra, noise stimulates the brain using auditory and possibly even tactile ways (if you feel it in your throat), which has a calming effect. Sensory Use Mantras also stimulate the senses, which is also an effective way to distract from anxiety.Mantras force your mind to think about something else - to think about the mantra - which reduces the amount of mental energy you can use on the issues that are upsetting you. ![]()
![]() The plot has plenty of twists and turns that will keep you second guessing yourself throughout the game. Shardlight takes a post-apocalyptic premise you've seen a million times in countless works of fiction and sucks you into a well-developed world populated with genuine characters. I already mentioned the game was well written, and the text could have merely stayed just text, but the choice to include voice acting - pretty decent voice acting to boot - made the whole game feel that much more alive. I don't mean that in a negative way, quite the opposite, it was awesome to see the developers put time and effort where they didn't have to. The reason the voice acting is so impressive to me is that it's absolutely unnecessary. Every character, no matter how small, has a voice and a distinct one at that. The sound is what blew me away in Shardlight, and it wasn't the music that caught my attention, but rather the voice acting. "The sound is what blew me away in Shardlight, and it wasn't the music that caught my attention, but rather the voice acting." I was pleasantly surprised that each character looked very different, and little details, such as scars and other facial markings, were included in the artwork. When you have conversations throughout the game, the characters will appear on screen giving you a better look at each person. In fact, I would often find myself talking to every character I would come across just so I could learn some new information about the world, and there is a ton of it! Gameplay Every person has a unique voice and adds a little to the world that Shardlight builds for you to explore. Shardlight seems to give every character you run into - even the minor ones - thought and care. The best thing about a game having an excellent script is how rich and diverse the characters become. I often found myself saving my game right before important conversations took place so that I could reload the game and choose different dialogue options to see how the characters would react. The way the story unfolds is truly gripping, and even though the dialogue options don't seem to affect the outcome of the game, it does offer the player a little bit of a role-playing element that helps you feel more connected to Amy throughout your adventure. ![]() While the plot may not seem ground-breaking, Shardlight is excellently written.
